Stewardship and green infrastructure in England planning perspectives informed through an investigation of urban green infrastructure

The aim of this study is to explore the relationships and perspectives stakeholders involved in stewardship ‘urban green infrastructure’ England. We used urban forest network (trees associated space) as a focal point by referring four meanings ‘Stewardship’, i.e. Motivation, Ethic, Outcome Action proposed Peçanha Enqvist et al. (Citation2018). studied through multi-regional approach, five English cities (Newcastle/Gateshead, Leeds, Sheffield, Coventry Bristol), assessing their views expressed via questionnaire analysing responses NVivo. found support for key aspect infrastructure planning, one that encourages ‘bottom up’ participation. In specific area forestry England we propose ensure co-stewardship role, planning professionals citizens should work together at all levels identify roles niches are complementary.
